Have you heard of Hubspot? If not, it is the leading inbound marketing and sales software company. They provide the tools and training needed to help businesses grow by attracting new customers and maintaining the ones they already have. Hubspot has grown significantly over the past 10 years. Employing 1,500 people around the world, there is a strong need for real-time video technology in order to meet their collaboration needs.

Hubspot was growing at a rapid rate and increasing their number of offices around the world. Without real-time interaction between people and teams, Hubspot may not have been able to excel as quickly and efficiently. 

First, Executives at Hubspot decided to study their current methods of collaboration. They discovered that employees were using multiple solutions. WebEx, Cisco Telepresence, and Google Hangouts were all being used for different reasons driving up costs. Utilizing multiple solutions led to many headaches for the IT department, as well as the end users. The solutions did not work well together. The challenge was: Hubspot needed a unified, video collaboration solution to support its expanding company. 

Screen sharing, high quality audio, and mobility were their main concerns. Hubspot employs people at their homes, in the office, and on the go so it was vital for them to incorporate a system that literally functioned anywhere.

Executives compared Cisco Spark, BlueJeans Network, and Zoom. They landed on Zoom for many reasons. Their people found Zoom was very easy to use and super quick to join meetings without any frustration. They enjoyed the Zoom Rooms and found them to be very similar to the desktop and mobile solution. Zoom was also more affordable and the integrations ran smoothly for Slack and their calendar system.

Hubspot now operates over 100 Zoom Rooms, but they did decide to keep some of their existing Cisco Telepresence rooms. All video conferences and conference rooms join meetings in the Zoom cloud with the Cisco rooms using the Zoom H.323/SIP Connector. Executives mentioned that they did not want to force their employees onto Zoom so they slowly introduced the system to their team. In the first 3 months, Hubspot has utilized 1.5 million meeting minutes per month!
